National TV Awards results

Average person spends £21,000 on music

A survery by TNS carried out for the Prudential in September, involving 1188 people, has found that the average person spends around £21,000 on music during their lives.
The figure of £21,000 includes the amount spent on music equipment and visiting concerts as well as the purchases of CDs and records.
The survey also found that the average person owns nearly £900 worth of music playing equipment

Lennon photo tops magazine poll

A photograph of a naked John Lennon, which was taken the day he was shot, has been named the top US magazine cover of the past 40 years.
